Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation | REVIEW

Leslie here! There have been SO many new things coming out at the drugstore recently. I went a little crazy with all the new launches and have some great (and not so great) things to review for you guys! This is a review of the new foundation from Wet N Wild.

The Product:

Wet N Wild Photo Focus Foundation, $4.69 at Target, 1 fluid ounce.

This foundation comes in 20 shades – but the drugstore I visited only had TWO out. Their website is the best bet for all options. I grabbed the shade 365C – Soft Beige, which is a tad yellow for me. If all options were out that day, I probably would be closer to 364C – Rose Ivory.

The Claims:

  • Specially made with a matte, light-diffusing complex to give your skin #nofilter perfection.
  • High-performing, breakthrough formula
  • Featuring light-adjusting complex to help prevent white cast in photos
  • Tested under 7 light conditions with and without the use of flash

I don’t really care too much about flashback – but the #nofilter perfection seems great!

The Application & Wear:

The applicator of this is super strange. It’s a stick/spatula type of situation that I would not recommend going bottle to face with.

So it’s a little messy, and you definitely have to put it on the back of your hand or a palette or something.

I tried this using both a buffing brush and a beauty sponge (over a primer – because ya girl needs that). AND GIRL. This stuff blends out so beautifully on the face. It is thin enough to not cake up, but providesĀ a great amount of coverage. It is build-able and also able to be mixed in with a moisturizer for lighter coverage. It seemed to smooth my pores out somehow, and making my face really look like it had a dang filter on it!

And it lasted ALL DAY! As I’ve said in previous review posts, my makeup stays on my face upwards of 11 hours every day. So I require a long lasting power house. And this delivered! It did not melt off or fade away. The same soft focus affect was around at the end of the day. And while I was getting a little bit dewy- it looked great! What started out a great satin-matte transitioned to a very healthy glow as the day progressed. It wore very well!!

I didn’t see any noticeable flashback in the few shots I took – but I didn’t have 7 different conditions to try!

The Verdict:

This foundation is a f?#@*&g must have! For only SIX DOLLARS (or less if you can find it BOGO which it often is), this foundation gives a beautiful finish that lasts all day. You should FO SHO check it out! I think this could work for all skin types!

Now I just need to try the powder and the concealer!!
