Happy Tuesday, Leslie here!
Because I’ve been focusing so much of my time and energy into skincare (and it has really been paying off!) I have been looking for more sheer coverage foundations/bb creams/ tinted products. I don’t want to cover all this hard work and progress!
I decided to pick up the H2O SkinTint by Pixi, available at Target. Let’s see what I thought about it!
**A note about my skin: I have sensitive, oily-to-normal skin with concerns of visible pores and length of wear.
Pixi H2O SkinTint, in the shade 02/Nude. $24 at Target. There are only three shades in the range, and this one is the middle one – and it is very yellow undertoned. It comes in a very convenient pump, so that’s always a plus!
You get slightly more than the standard 1 oz of product that comes in a foundation, but that is actually typical of tinted moisturizers and bb creams.

Innovative complexion-enhancing gel tint for a smooth, fresh faced look all day. Cooling & refreshing formula gives a flawless finish to skin that feels much lighter & more breathe-able than a traditional foundation. Hydrating, long-lasting & water-resistant. Suitable for even the most sensitive skin.
This gel was very cool and refreshing going on! I loved the way it felt like it melted into my skin. I tried a couple different application methods, but it worked best applied with the fingers- which is not my favorite.
As you can see below, it provides very little coverage, but a little goes a long way!
This didn’t last me a normal workday (I typically leave my face on for around 10 hours during the week.) I can’t really tell if it is water resistant like it claims. But I would give it a solid 5-6 hours before it started to fade or move around. It gave a matte finish, but definitely hydrated and formed into more of a dewy finish later on. I would say this is one of those ‘ all-in-ones’, skip your moisturizer dealios. But only on days you only need to look purty for up to 6 hours.
This tinted gel was very cooling and refreshing going on. It evened out the areas of my face that needed a bit of tint- albeit too yellow. (FUN FACT Yellow neutralizes large patches and all over redness better than green.)
This product truly is a tinted moisturizer, and for someone who hoards skincare as much as I do, I kind of already have moisturizers I like to use.
But if you are looking for a no-nonsense, one step routine- maybe add a touch of concealer- then you would LOVE this! That with the cooling effect would make it a great product for after a little too much sun (which is probably in the months now leaving us)
Anyone with, I’d say, combination/oily to dry skin types that are looking for a light coverage option would get along with this! (if you can find a shade that matches you…)
TLDR: It’s aight.
