CoverGirl Clean Matte BB Cream | REVIEW

‘ello guvnah, Leslie here!

I recently picked up the new CoverGirl¬†Clean Matte BB Cream, and I wanted to share my thoughts on it! Scroll to the very end for the TLDR version ūüėČ

It ranges from $7- $9, but your best bet will probably always be Target. Get it at Target. It is available in 6 shades РI picked up the shade Light -520.

The only claims? “CoverGirl Clean Matte BB Cream provides the perfect amount of coverage to even skin tone, hide blemishes and keep you shine free all day!”

First of all, I am really confused by the name of this product. Calling it a BB Cream is inaccurate. BB Creams usually have skincare benefits in them, so they become an all in one, easy-peasy, product. This product has no skincare benefits, does not include a built-in primer, and doesn’t even have SPF! This is nothing more than a medium coverage foundation.

The formula evened out the areas of discoloration and is a buildable formula, so I didn’t need an additional concealer. However, I do not think the finish is matte- and definitely required setting with a powder.

While the pigmentation and coverage lasted all day- I am very disappointed in the ‘matte’ness of this. I hardly ever have to blot throughout the day, and I had to blot at least six times and reapply powder to keep the shine away. And I didn’t even wear it on a very humid or hot day!

TLDR: I will be returning this product and would not repurchase or recommend.

Do you want to see me try this foundation again on my YouTube? Let me know!!
